ADRA's East Africa famine appeal

East Africa is in crisis. More than 20 million people in four countries are facing starvation and famine. The scale is unprecedented. It is the single largest humanitarian crisis since the United Nations was founded in 1945. ADRA is providing urgent food aid distribution, school feeding programs and cash transfers to thousands of children, women and men in Kenya, Somalia and South Sudan in response to the drought and famine crisis affecting millions of people in East Africa. Food parcels include rice, beans, maize, oil and salt. Your help is urgently needed. To find out more, visit

Making churches safe places

Making churches safe places

The North New South Wales Conference wants to ensure that all of our churches, companies and schools are safe places for everyone. The conference executive committee voted that every church leader, including those who work with children, receive Safe Church Training (see below for details) as part of their commitment to making sure church is a safe place for all.

The NNSW Conference welcomes the Royal Commission into sexual abuse in institutions. We believe that, by casting a light on this issue, churches and organisations can work toward healing and create safer environments going forward into the future.

You can read more about the NNSW Conference's stance on responding to abuse at
