Adventist Education

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has one of the largest protestant independent world-wide education systems, operating 5,846 schools worldwide with a total enrolment of over 1 million students. Across Australia, there are 55 Adventist schools providing quality education for more than 12,000 students. The Adventist education system consists of pre-school, primary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions. Adventist education in the North New South Wales Conference had its beginning in 1897, with the establishment of Avondale School on the campus of Avondale College in Cooranbong.

Since that time, the number of schools in North New South Wales has grown to eleven schools and two pre-schools, covering a large geographical region with Central Coast Adventist School, Erina, in the South to Tweed Valley College, Murwillumbah, in the North. Six of the 10 schools offer primary and secondary education, while four are primary schools.
