We think health matters
People are often perplexed why the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or any Church, cares about health. Afterall shouldn't we just worry about the spiritual stuff, salvation, heaven and all that? In fact, the Bible encourages us to find balance in all aspects of our lives including the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and of course, spiritual. Interestingly, major health bodies such as the World Health Organisation now recognise that true health means a total state of well-being. The Seventh-day Adventist church has a particular emphasis on helping communities and individuals live life to the full. Soon needles could be a thing of the past Australian researcher, Professor Mark Kendell, has recently received new funding to continue his development of needle-less vaccine delivery. Not only are needle-phobes rejoicing but health experts in developing nations are also excited because early testing shows Professor Kendell's method requires much less vaccine to be effective (sometimes less than 1% of the injected dose - making it much cheaper) and does not require cold storage (making it easier to get to those that need it most)...
